"It only takes ONE to make an IMPACT, be the ONE for your community"
Heroes Bridge is a dream and vision of Brian K. Rice that will work to boldly address the
concerns of our disadvantaged communities. Nationally we do not have a strategic mechanism
in place to address our most compelling concerns and the vision and mission of Heroes Bridge
will step up and do it's part for progress.

Heroes Bridge, Inc. is a 21st century organization that is in the initial fund raising stage that will
launch a set of strategic actions that links the visions and missions of the most effective
charities, foundations, community building programs, human character building programs,
economic building programs and think tanks for the sole purpose of empowering the at risk
and disadvantaged communities in todays world. See Project 3 below for more details.

Mr. Rice's book "Black Americans, We Need You!" (Subtitle: The Call for Self Accountability of
All African Americans) was created from several hundred pages of work and research that Brian
has prepared for the Heroes Bridge strategic set of actions.

Project #1
Lift Up
"How can our youth want to be what he or she can't see?"

Lift Up places a huge emphasis on rural communities and programs. Often those who live in the
bigger city live such busy lives with all types of options that they forget or never think about
the many citizens that live in our rural communities that are right next door. The needs in our
inner cities are great and the needs in our rural communities are often even greater. Lift Up
will expose youth to various professional possibilities with the help of professionals from
various backgrounds. Lift Up recruits, encourages, and supports successful urban
professionals who are available and willing to share their words of wisdom and success as a
way to be a light in the minds of those who are often never exposed to the many options our
world has to offer.  Lift Up takes successful professionals into communities where many of the
positive successful role models are limited due their rural location.

Project #2
Young Professionals Give Back
"How can our youth want to be what he or she can't see?"

Young professionals give back is a very strategic program that will recruit and utilize young
professionals to inspire todays youth. Young Professionals will be asked to give back a
minimum of 2-4 hours during this strategic week. Young professionals will be asked to talk
about there careers and the other careers they come across while working in their career as a
way to expose todays youth to what they may become. Young professionals will also share their
experiences of how their choices made their paths easier or more difficult. This initial project
will take place in Birmingham, AL. We are aiming for 200 young professionals to take part into
this ground breaking project for Heroes Bridge, Inc. (more information will be coming soon.) if
you are a young professional and want to get involved in the planning or fundraising process,
please email us giveback@heroesbridge.com)

Project 3:

Create Citywide Community Development Proposal
"Change a Community"
The central project for Heroes Bridge has been created to strategically build bridges between
effective organizations for the sole purpose of positively changing an entire city in 10 years or
less. This project is in the development stage and we are currently working on the proposal
strategy. We are currently raising money to create a national based proposal that will
strategically launch the first citywide project in a medium size to small city with all the concerns
affecting our most challenged communities and cities. The five key initiatives of this proposal
will be centered around Education Development, Character Development, Crime Prevention,
Economic Development, and Community Development. Heroes Bridge will strategically unite
effective organizations to effectively address the five key areas. If you are interested in
donating resources to help us develop this key proposal or learning more about this project,
please email us at giveback@heroesbridge.com

Birmingham, AL has been selected as the initial city. Why go to Birmingham first before any
other city in America? We want to go the city that has taken the largest negative hit since civil
rights first. After looking at the make-up of America, we feel as though Birmingham is the
perfect city to launch this organization and create a template for other cities. Birmingham is not
too large for the issues to be too overwhelming but it is large enough to create a true template
for empowering other cities. The city of Birmingham has over 200,000 citizens within the city
limits and over 1,000,000 citizens in the metro area. Over 75% of the city are minorities.
Birmingham has very similar poverty patterns, education concerns, community development,
economic development, and crime concerns of other cities in our country that are faced with
the same challenges. Birmingham has a similar makeup to other
cities with the same issues related to our troubled communities such as Little Rock, D.C.,
Memphis, Detroit, Baltimore, Cleveland, Gary, Philadelphia and so on. Empower this plan;
Empower Heroes Bridge and Heroes Bridge will empower others with every lesson learned. We
don't want to horde positive ideas, we want to share them with others who want to make a
positive impact. We have already created an initial strategy for this city and we are currently at
the stage where we will need to hire nationally recognized consultants to review and make
suggestions to the proposal.

Bridged together, we can succeed. By bridging of our most effective foundations,
organizations, volunteer heroes, think tanks, and charities, we can battle and solve the most
devastating concerns of today. In our disadvantaged minority communities, high crime, poor
education, and poverty devastates the life cycle of our citizens and now it is time to build
strategic bridges between effective organizations to combat and to succeed and create a new
status quo.
